But in the news lately, the word on the street is “Burnout.” Burnout is a state of emotional, mental, and often physical exhaustion brought on by prolonged or repeated stress and characterized by a decrease in motivation and performance. While burnout is not a new phenomenon, the COVID-19 pandemic has certainly been an accelerant.
In this session, we will look at the causes of burnout in the workplace and share data showing that burnout is truly a global problem. We will discuss what employers can do to build mental resilience and learn how to identify and actively address burnout in ourselves and our organizations.
